A man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, bare-chested, stands at a metal pole with his arms raised, holding a strand of orange flowers. He wears a long white jasmine garland layered with gold bead ornaments, rudraksha beads and green plastic-looking accents, plus a red tilak on his forehead and a small gold earring. Behind him a red umbrella with tassels shades the scene, and other men in orange garments stand nearby, one holding a silver tray with red flowers. Trees and a bright sky form the background.2012-07-03July 03 20122012-07-03A ceremonial outdoor scene at a temple-like courtyard. In the foreground, a bearded man with long dark hair and white forehead markings wears a rust-red robe, a pink and white flower garland, a gold pendant, and tulsi-style beaded necklaces; he is reaching up with a pink flower in one hand while holding a long rod. Behind him, a man in dark clothes and glasses stands near a yellow and red fringed canopy. To the right, a man in a rust-red robe holds a silver tray with small brass vessels, and a white cloth is wrapped around a white pole. Behind them, many young men in orange robes and orange head cloths stand in crowds, some playing white drums, with women in white saris in the background.2017-10-01A man in saffron-orange robes stands beside a tall copper pillar, pulling a rope with both hands during a flag-hoisting ceremony. He wears a long gold necklace with a pendant, a white and red flower garland draped across his shoulders, and a red tilak on his forehead. His long dark hair falls to his shoulders. Behind him stands a green palm tree under an overcast sky, and a garlanded deity murti is visible on the pillar's base. The copper pillar is wrapped in white and red flower garlands, consistent with a dhwajarohanam flag-hoisting rite. Another orange-robed figure is partly visible at the lower right edge.2010-07-26July 03 20122012-07-03October 05 20132013-10-05A photograph of a ceremony in an open courtyard. In the foreground a bearded man in a rust-red saffron wrap, with a pink and white flower garland and heavy gold beaded necklaces, stands with eyes closed and hands pressed to his chest. Behind him, another person in orange holds a dark red cloth and a long rod near a white and gold-bordered cloth wrapped around a white pole. A crowd of people in orange and saffron clothing, some with orange turbans, stands behind, with a white drum visible on the right. A red-and-saffron kumkum mark is on the forehead of the central man, and a red bangle on his wrist. Some of the foreground man's clothing and the pole suggest a ritual anointing or abhishekam.2017-10-01January 01 20082008-01-01October 01 20172017-10-01April 23 20122012-04-23October 01 20172017-10-01July 03 20122012-07-03
