Outdoor ceremony under a canopy with a colourful striped fabric border. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, a long beaded mala necklace, sits cross-legged on a patterned cushioned seat, speaking into a microphone on a stand. Around him, attendants in white ritual clothes hold ornate silver staffs and tall umbrellas with red and maroon fringed canopies; one holds a silver ceremonial staff topped with a crown-like finial. Offerings on the grass include bananas and fruit on a leaf plate, coconuts, sweets, a brass vessel, a conch-shaped golden kalasha, and red cloths. Devotees in white sit on a pink mat and on chairs behind.2005-12-25December 25 20052005-12-25Outdoor event under a multicoloured canopy with a long-haired man seated on a leopard-print cushioned seat at left, wearing saffron-orange robes with a gold-toned pendant on a beaded necklace, speaking into a microphone on a stand. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron garment and a gold beaded necklace, sits cross-legged on an ornate brown peetha throne with a microphone stand before him. Five attendants in white dhotis with maroon borders stand around him: two hold tall silver ceremonial staffs topped with trident-like finials, and three hold ornate red, maroon and black decorated umbrellas with fringed edges. A brass puja tray with a kalasha-style vessel, flowers and offerings sits on a pink cloth in front. A parked car and a hilly green landscape are visible behind. The scene suggests a ceremonial reception with ritual umbrellas and staffs.2005-12-25December 25 20052005-12-25Outdoor photo of a seated man in orange saffron robes with a gold-edged shawl and a heavy gold necklace with a gold pendant, a red tilak on his forehead, and long dark hair swept back. He sits on a leopard-print cushioned seat with hands folded, speaking into a microphone on a stand. Two standing attendants in white dhotis and white shirts hold tall poles of a red canopy with tassels above him. Several seated and standing devotees and a white-clad figure are behind, with parked yellow auto-rickshaws at left. Probable Swamiji (probable) seated as speaker with ceremonial gold necklace, saffron robes and long hair; the event appears to be an outdoor discourse.2005-12-25December 31 20082008-12-31April 19 20082008-04-19December 30th 20072007-12-30 +1 copiesApril 19 20082008-04-19A seated figure in saffron robes and an orange turban sits on a white cushioned throne on a red carpeted dais inside a decorated tent. A large fringed umbrella in pink, orange, green and blue overhead shields the seat, with a second umbrella at the right. Attendants stand around in saffron and white garments; one man in white on the left holds a tall umbrella pole, a man in saffron to the left of the throne holds a staff topped with a trident, and a man in white at right attends to a microphone stand. The figure wears a long orange garland and a bracelet, and a small vase of pink flowers sits on a white table beside the throne. The tent walls show a yellow and purple geometric textile border. Approximately eight people are visible.2007-12-30Outdoor procession on a riverside platform. A central figure with long swept-back dark hair, saffron-orange robes, a rudraksha mala and ornate gold necklaces sits on a silver-framed throne with bare feet, smiling and holding a trident-topped staff; the appearance is consistent with Swamiji (probable), seated as the honoured guest. Around him, devotees in saffron and white stand and sit, some holding trident staffs and orange-yellow ceremonial banners and a red-and-multicoloured parasol. Several saffron-robed monastics wear beaded malas, and a woman in an orange sari kneels at right. Flower petals scatter on a patterned cloth below the throne, and a black speaker sits at the platform's edge.2013-02-13
