A bare-chested priest in an orange-brown cloth stands on a metal stepladder atop the lingam, holding a vessel, with a rudraksha mala around his neck. Two young boys with shaved heads and sacred marks stand nearby, and an unfinished red steel-framed building forms the backdrop.2017-07-03Outdoor photograph of a large dark grey Shiva lingam draped with a garland of red, orange, yellow and white flowers, with three silver bands across its face. Three men stand on a metal scaffold beside it: the central man, bare-chested with a rudraksha-style necklace and white cloth at his waist, pours liquid from a vessel, while the two men flanking him wear orange cloths and stand near the top of the lingam. Behind them rise a red-orange building with windows and a metal roof frame, consistent with an abhishekam being performed. No person is identified.2017-06-19June 19 20172017-06-19July 03 20172017-07-03July 31 20172017-07-31July 31 20172017-07-31Outdoor abhishekam at a large dark black stone lingam wrapped with a garland of marigolds in yellow and orange, red roses and white flowers. A man with long dark hair and a bare upper body, wearing rudraksha beads and a white cloth, pours milk from a silver vessel over the lingam. Two young assistants in orange cloths stand on the metal steps at either side, one facing away, the other with long dark hair. Petals scatter on the stone. Behind is a yellow-roofed building and a grey block wall. The priest's role is clearly ritual; the a person label is uncertain as his face and build are not distinct enough to confirm identity.2017-07-31June 03 20132013-06-03November 07 20162016-11-07A large dark stone Shiva lingam with three silver horizontal bands stands on a black square yoni-type base, draped in a garland of red, yellow and white flowers. Four men stand on a metal scaffold platform around the top of the lingam, several wearing saffron-orange clothing; one in the centre in white holds a yellow object and performs the ritual. Behind is a red-orange multi-storey building under construction with a yellow steel frame roof, and a small deity shrine with an arched gateway sits at right. Pale sky and red flags frame the scene.2017-07-24 +1 copies
