May 05 20172017-05-05A seated man on a gilded throne with leopard-print cushions receives ritual attention from two shirtless young men in orange cloth. He wears a gold crown with flowers, a red bindi, a dark-brown robe, a heavy gold necklace and a long garland of white and pink flowers. The attendant on the left holds a silver staff and a rudraksha mala while the attendant on the right extends his hands toward the seated figure, marked with white sacred ash. The ornate gold throne behind suggests a pattabhishekam coronation scene. The appearance of the seated man is consistent with the page's subject but the page states no a person at this event, so identity is uncertain.2017-05-05May 07 20172017-05-07May 05 20172017-05-05A seated figure on a throne-like dais under a canopy of yellow and red flower garlands, wearing a gold crown, maroon robe, layered gold necklaces, a pink lotus garland and bangles, smiling and sitting cross-legged on a leopard-print cushion. Two attendants in orange cloth with bare upper bodies and white forehead markings flank him, one on each side, with rudraksha malas, and a gold-and-leopard-print backdrop and magenta lights fill the setting.2017-07-09A photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold throne with a carved gold backrest and a lion-carved armrest, wearing a gold crown, a long pink-and-white flower garland, gold necklaces and a rudraksha-style mala over dark maroon robes, with a leopard-print cushion beside him. Two young men in orange dhotis with white sacred ash on their chests and arms stand on either side; the one at left holds a lit oil lamp toward the seated man's hands, and the one at right holds a small flame. A gold trident stands at left beside a kalasha-like decorated offering with a tiger-striped cloth, and a red curtain hangs behind. The scene suggests an abhishekam-style lamp offering.2017-05-05A central seated figure wears a large gold crown with a gold-leaf halo, a brown-red garment, ornate gold necklaces, a gold pendant and a rudraksha mala, with bold red bangles on the arms. He sits on a tiger-striped seat inside an arch of yellow and red flower garlands, with pink lotus-petal garlands draped over him, and raises one hand in blessing. Two bare-chested attendants with white ash markings on their arms and chests, wearing orange cloths and rudraksha malas, flank him on either side. Behind them are floral decorations and a golden throne-like structure with a leopard-print cloth. Appearance-based candidate (probable) for a person, seated and blessing devotees as presiding figure; attendants stand at either side.2017-07-09August 25 20172017-08-25 +1 copiesAugust 09 20172017-08-09 +1 copiesDecember 23 20162016-12-23June 05 20122012-06-05A seated man in a saffron-orange robe sits on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head armrests, in front of orange draped fabric.
