Confetti or petals dust the robe and arms. Behind on the steps, figures in white dhotis with gold borders walk, and a line of people in white clothing stand with palms pressed together on tiered red stone seating. A man in white with a gold-bordered dhoti and rudraksha mala walks on the left. Appearance-based a person: the central figure shows a turban, saffron clothing and ornate garlands, though the appearance is only partly clear.2015-07-31December 12 20162016-12-12December 12 20162016-12-12A photograph of a smiling man in orange-saffron robes walking centrally on a green carpet inside a white tent. He wears a dark rudraksha mala and a heavy gold necklace with a large gold pendant, gold earrings, and a dark tilak on his forehead. He holds a red umbrella pole overhead and raises one hand in greeting. To his left, a young man in a white dhoti with gold borders holds a gold-topped ceremonial staff, and another man in white dhoti with a golden shawl stands nearby. Behind them, a crowd of about twenty people in white and colourful clothes, including an older woman in a blue and red dress with a badge, watches. A chandelier is visible at the top. Appearance-based candidate: a person, walking in the central position with a red umbrella and rudraksha mala.2016-04-17 +2 copiesDecember 12 20162016-12-12A photograph of a ceremonial procession descending a striped red-and-white stepped platform under a decorated canopy. In the centre, a bearded man in a deep rust-red dhoti and wrap, wearing a red-and-gold turban, a thick gold necklace, a long pink-and-white flower garland and a mala, walks barefoot with a dark whisk-like fan at his side. Beside him, a young attendant in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha beads carries a walkie-talkie. Behind them, women in green, teal and orange saris stand on the steps, and men in white dhotis and gold-bordered shawls carry a long white parasol-pole. A colourful painted ratha-style shrine with lion figures stands at right, and onlookers in western and Indian dress watch from the platform at left, some with hands pressed together in greeting.2016-12-03Outdoor procession under a metal-framed canopy with a palm-tree backdrop. A central figure in a rust-red turban with a small emblem, long dark hair, rudraksha-style beaded garlands and a deep red-orange robe with gold borders smiles while walking forward. Beside him, an older bald man in a saffron-orange robe and white-and-black beaded mala is supported by a devotee in orange. Attendants in white dhotis and saffron shawls, one holding a long gold-topped staff, surround them on a red carpet. Behind is a wooden palanquin with purple cloth and a crowd of onlookers. The central figure's cues are a turban, long hair, garlands and red-orange clothing, so this is a person in person, though the appearance is not conclusive enough for certainty.2015-01-13December 03 20162016-12-03Outdoor procession on stone steps under a bright blue sky, with a red flag and a loudspeaker horn on a pole overhead. At centre, a figure in a rust-red robe wears a red turban, a long garland of pink and white flowers, a gold necklace and a rudraksha mala, and holds the arms of two attendants. Around him, saffron-robed sannyasis with rudraksha malas and gold beads walk alongside men in white dhotis with gold borders and sacred threads. A purple and gold ornate umbrella is held above the group on the right, and a red-and-white umbrella stands at the left. A tall banner with a portrait is tied to a pole in the background, and onlookers stand among the crowd. The scene appears to be a ceremonial walk, with a visible portrait-banner but no clearly identifiable candidate beyond the central figure's ceremonial attire and garlands.2016-05-21
