A photograph of a walking procession on a dirt path beside an unfinished concrete building with bamboo scaffolding. A man with long dark swept-back hair, a gold necklace of ornaments, a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, and a forehead mark walks at the centre-right, with a yellow umbrella held over him by a young attendant in a white dhoti and orange sash. Beside him, a bald sannyasi in orange robes with a rudraksha mala walks at left, and an elderly man in white shirt and dhoti walks in front. Children and onlookers stand at right. Swamiji (probable) cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a gold ceremonial necklace on the centre-right walker, who is the umbrella-shaded figure in the procession.2012-09-24Outdoor photo of a group ascending a concrete staircase at a construction site. In front, a man with long dark swept-back hair, tilak markings, a gold bead necklace and an orange garment wrapped in orange and gold cloth walks forward, one hand raised with a finger pointing. Behind him, a man in white shirt and white dhoti is held up by a companion, and an orange-robed attendant with a shaved head follows. An assistant in white holds an orange umbrella overhead. Other people in white and orange stand along the path, and bamboo scaffolding, bricks and a dirt mound surround the site.2012-09-24July 14 20132013-07-14November 27 20062006-11-27January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesJanuary 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesOutdoor photo of a group descending a wide stone staircase with red-painted step edges, in early evening light. A man in the center wears a deep maroon-red dhoti and wrap, with long dark hair, a rudraksha mala and a bare chest, and walks barefoot down the steps. To his left a man in saffron-orange robes and a rudraksha mala holds a rolled white paper scroll. On the right a bare-chested man in a white dhoti with gold borders walks barefoot, and a woman in a cream sari with gold border follows behind him. Other saffron-clad figures and attendants stand on the upper steps, a metal lamp post and a small booth with a loudspeaker stand behind them, and a man in a grey shirt stands at the right edge.2017-11-11November 27 20062006-11-27A procession climbs red-tiled steps under a bright sky. In the centre, a smiling man with long swept-back dark hair wears a rust-orange dhoti-style cloth with a gold-banded border, a gold necklace of large beads and a long rudraksha mala, and raises one hand in greeting. Figures in saffron-orange robes walk around him, some holding a yellow parasol and ornate saffron flags with embroidered emblems. Behind, a line of people in orange robes moves up the steps, and on the right a man in white dhoti and shawl holds a long umbrella pole. A bald priest in orange stands at the lower left. The scene reads as a ceremonial procession. Swamiji (probable) is the smiling man in the centre, identified by his swept-back hair, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace.2013-04-25Outdoors on a dirt path at a temple construction site, a procession walks toward the camera under a bright orange umbrella held over a saffron-robed man. The man at the front right wears a saffron robe, a long rudraksha mala, sandals and carries a walking staff; his long dark hair is swept back, and he appears to be a probable Swamiji. Beside him walk a bare-chested man in an orange cloth, a man in white with an orange shawl holding a book, and others in white dhotis and orange shawls. Behind them stands bamboo scaffolding, a half-built temple tower and a row of tiled-roof pavilion structures with decorative arches. Bricks and rubble line the path. Physical people visible: about five.2006-11-27May 22 20122012-05-22 +1 copiesMay 22 20122012-05-22
