Many people in white dhotis and blue or green hairnets hand out packets, bags and cloth bundles at folding tables. Several figures in saffron-orange robes sit on orange plastic chairs, some wearing rudraksha malas. Women in saris, including a red and a yellow one, receive items, and a man in a red shirt stands near a steel vessel. Pots and plastic bags sit on the tables.2012-01-04Outdoor relief distribution in a palm-tree setting. A monk in saffron/orange robes with a saffron shoulder bag stands at left, beside a man in a white dhoti bending over a cardboard box and handing items to a crowd. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts, some wearing green or blue head coverings, gather and reach forward; one man at right raises an arm. Packaged goods and white plastic bags sit on the ground near the box. The scene suggests a food or supplies distribution line.2012-01-04A small outdoor photograph of a rural gathering under a tree. A person in an orange-red garment stands at the centre-right, facing a group of seated people on the ground at left, including several women and children in colourful saris and dresses. A woman in white stands at the far right. Green foliage and a small building sit in the background. The scene appears to be a casual community or satsang-style gathering.2007-09-17A photograph of an annadhan food service in a covered hall. Several people in white and saffron clothing stand at large steel cooking vessels and serving counters, one person in an orange garment ladles food from a big pot, and others in white kurtas and head coverings move among the rows of seated people. The scene shows volunteers serving a meal to a seated crowd on the floor.2012-01-04A three-panel collage of outdoor scenes at an ashram compound with red-roofed buildings behind a dirt field. Many people in white clothing, some with orange or red accents, are gathered and pulling on long ropes in a tug-of-war style activity. The top and bottom panels show wider views of the crowd and the line of participants along the ropes, while the middle panel shows a closer view of people leaning back on the rope. No single identifiable figure is clearly shown in a leading role, and the collage is a graphic with pictured activity rather than a single photograph.2010-08-05Small thumbnail photo of a room with people seated on a light floor. A figure in orange robes sits at the right near a plain wall, and a seated man in a dark top sits to the left. Other people are partly visible at the edges. The setting looks like an indoor hall with a simple backdrop and no clear ritual objects visible.2010-09-06A photograph of a ceremony in an indoor hall. In the foreground, a woman in an orange sari with a red-and-yellow garland of flowers around her neck stands with her back to the camera. A man in white clothing reaches forward and places his hands on her shoulders or garland. Other figures in colourful clothing stand behind them in the background.2012-05-18May 18 20122012-05-18
