Several performers in white dhotis and white shawls, some with bare upper bodies and ash-marked faces, hold bamboo staffs and raise their arms. A drummer in a dark kurta sits playing a pair of drums, and a woman in a pink sari sits near him. Seated devotees in white clothing fill the foreground, and an altar with lamps and garlands stands at the right behind the performers.2006-12-27A photograph of two young women performing a dance on a stage with a green floor scattered with flower petals. The woman on the left wears a white long-sleeved kurta-style outfit with gold-bordered white dhoti-like drape, an orange-yellow headscarf, and a beaded mala, with arms raised and one foot lifted. The woman on the right wears an ornate cream and gold patterned sari with a red-orange shawl draped over her shoulders, and orange bangles, her arms also raised.2009-12-24A stage performance by a group of young women in traditional dress, with orange and red saris and white saris paired with red-and-maroon shoulder cloths and rudraksha-style beaded necklaces. They move in a synchronized dance, arms raised and hands gesturing, on a stage with ornate silver-toned arches and a deep red backdrop with colourful hanging decorations and flowers at the left edge. Several dancers wear bangles and beaded jewellery. The scene is a stage dance performance rather than a ritual; no a person is visible among the performers.2015-09-11April 17 20162016-04-17
