A photograph of a ritual abhishekam at an outdoor event. A young man in an orange turban, orange top and rudraksha mala pours water from a cupped hand over small gold-coloured deity murtis standing in a blue basin. Beside him an older man with glasses wears white kurta and a gold shawl and also reaches toward the murtis. Behind them stand people in white and orange robes, one holding a green banana leaf. The orange-clad figure's appearance does not clearly establish his identity, so no identity claim is made.2006-09-10A ritual immersion in a blue pool. A man in a pale yellow dhoti-style garment and glasses holds a gilt Nataraja-style bronze figure of Shiva with four arms and a flame, while beside him a man in an orange turban, orange robe and rudraksha mala leans over the water and lowers a small gilt murti. On the right a man in white holds another gilt figure, and at the left edge a small gilt deity figure is visible. Two gilt torana-style arches and deity murtis rest in the water.2006-09-10Photograph of a devotional scene with a man in saffron-orange robes bent forward over a gold-coloured metal stand, adjusting or touching two gilded deity figures, one standing with raised hand. To the left a man in white dhoti with gold border and bangles leans in beside him. Behind, several devotees in casual clothes, including a man in a striped shirt, watch. In the background a large backdrop shows a smiling face in a saffron turban, and a woman in an orange garment sits near a gold throne decorated with garlands in red and white. A gold kalasha-like lamp appears at upper right. Visible ritual setting suggests pad-puja or abhishekam preparation; the seated figure's identity is not established.2012-01-08September 10 20062006-09-10September 10 20062006-09-10October 07 20112011-10-07A seated figure in orange robes with long dark hair sits at left before a microphone stand, facing right. A larger gold deity figure stands at right with raised arms. Behind them hangs a curtain and a framed portrait of a smiling man in orange robes wearing a pearl necklace. The scene suggests a ritual or puja at a stage setting.2006-08-20September 10 20062006-09-10October 07 20112011-10-07September 23 20062006-09-23A photograph of a shaven-headed man in an orange-red robe with gold border pouring water from a brass pot over a small gold deity murti on a stone base. Behind him a golden standing figure with raised hand stands in an arched gold frame, a white marble seated figure with raised hand sits in front, and a gold stupa-like object rests on a red base. Above, a dark figure is adorned with garlands and a colourful green and pink sari-like cloth. Marigold petals float in the water and a teal cloth covers a stone platform. This appears to be an abhishekam ritual.2011-03-03 +1 copiesA ritual abhishekam being performed on a small golden deity murti wrapped in orange cloth.
