The receiver wears gold bangles and a dark embroidered garment. Behind, blurred red cloth and a gold ornamental object suggest a temple or puja setting, and the pour appears to be a sacred offering or abhishekam-style blessing.2015-06-03Close view of an abhishekam ritual. A priest in white dhoti with a yellow border pours liquid from a silver vessel over a deity murti decorated with garlands of white jasmine and red and yellow roses, and a bead-and-ornament adornment. Coconut halves, bananas, flowers and brass bowls sit on a colourful striped cloth. A small oil lamp burns at the left edge. Other hands in bangles and red thread assist with the offerings.2017-03-16March 20 20142014-03-20July 28 20172017-07-28A close photograph of a ritual abhishekam. A bare-shouldered man wearing a pink and yellow flower garland and a gold beaded armlet pours liquid from a silver-gold vessel with a spout. Below, on a silver tray stand, a small gold metal deity murti stands beside a silver lamp and a stone figure; a thin stream of liquid runs from the spout onto the tray. A large gold cloth fills the lower foreground, and a red curtain is in the background. The hands are wearing rudraksha-style beaded bracelets. Only partial bodies are visible, so one person is shown.2013-05-27October 06 20112011-10-06March 16 20172017-03-16Close-up of a hand pouring water from a polished silver vessel with stepped rings and a spout. Behind is a blurred dark background, and to the left a silver ritual object with a curved handle stands on a stand.2014-12-17Close-up photo of a puja at a silver tray holding small gold-coloured deity figures and a silver umbrella-shaped canopy. A bare-armed person wearing a pink and yellow flower garland and a gold waist-band pours water from a silver conch-shaped vessel into a silver bowl, with a gold-embroidered cloth in the foreground and a dark red curtain behind. Another silver vessel sits beside the bowl. The scene suggests abhishekam at a deity shrine.2013-05-27Close photo of two priests performing an abhishekam over a yellow-flower-garlanded object. The priest on the left, with white tripundra marks on his forehead, pours liquid from a polished brass vessel. The priest on the right wears a rudraksha mala with gold-toned beads, a gold chain and a red-and-gold silk shawl. Marigolds with red flowers decorate the vessel below, and the background is blurred.2018-04-14
