February 03 20172017-02-03 +1 copiesFebruary 03 20172017-02-03A photograph of a bare-chested man in rust-red sannyasi cloth sitting barefoot on a concrete ledge edged with red and white tiles, one hand raised to his chin in a thoughtful pose. He has long dark hair, a full beard, a white-and-red tilak on his forehead, a red wrist thread and a braided rudraksha-style mala draped over his shoulders. Behind him a tall white pillar, green shrubs and a red brick wall form the setting. Swamiji (probable) appears as the seated man, based on his long hair, beard, saffron-toned sannyasi clothing and mala cues.2017-02-03 +1 copiesFebruary 03 20172017-02-03May 27 20182018-05-27A photograph of a seated bearded man in rust-orange ochre robes on a raised platform with a red-and-blue striped mat, gazing toward a large green hill of Arunachala with rocky outcrops. A pale white pillar stands near him, a blue wrought-iron stand holds a dark bowl on the right, and a red-brick compound wall, a parked white car and leafy trees frame the scene. Given the page's Thiruvannamalai context, the rocky hill appears consistent with the sacred mountain. The man is an appearance-based candidate who wears saffron-ochre clothing and has long dark hair and a full beard, but these cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so he is described by role as a seated sannyasi.2017-02-03May 25 20182018-05-25 +1 copiesA photograph of a man with long dark hair and a red bindi on his forehead seated on the edge of a white marble planter in a paved courtyard. He wears a flowing saffron-orange garment wrapped over his shoulders and body, with his hands folded in his lap and his eyes lowered. Behind him are green palms, spiky yucca-like plants, and red-leaved shrubs, with a white latticed gate and a pink brick building with a lamp post. Slippers rest on the pavement at his feet. A partially visible person in orange clothing stands at the right edge of the frame.2008-06-29A man with long dark hair and a full beard sits cross-legged on a red cushioned golden throne in front of a rose-pink curtain, speaking into a microphone on a boom stand. He wears a rust-orange sleeveless robe and a brown dhoti with a gold border, and a long brown rudraksha mala hangs around his neck. A red-brown tilak mark is on his forehead. He is giving a discourse, with a gilded decorative chair back behind him.2016-09-29A close-up photograph of a bearded man with long dark hair worn loose, a white horizontal tilak across his forehead, and a reddish-orange shawl draped over bare shoulders with a thin gold chain at the neck. He smiles gently, looking to his left. Behind him are a red velvet drape and an ornate silver-patterned backdrop, with a brass urn-like object at lower left.2018-05-27May 24 20182018-05-24Close-up photograph of a bearded man with eyes lowered and a faint smile, looking downward. He has long matted dreadlock-style hair falling past his shoulders, a red and white forehead marking with a red vertical tilak, and multiple strands of large brown rudraksha beads with a gold ornamental clasp at the neck. A red-orange cloth is draped over his shoulders. The background is blurred and warm-toned. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), given the saffron-red attire, rudraksha malas, long hair and gold necklace, though the face is partly in close focus and the identification is uncertain.2018-04-28 +1 copies
