Year 1999 His Divine Holiness At Age 21A photograph taken from behind of a bare-backed man walking along a dirt mountain road in the Himalayas. He wears an orange saffron cloth wrapped around his waist and draped over one shoulder, with a grey-green cloth piece across his upper back. Long, dark, wavy hair falls to his shoulders, and he carries a long wooden staff with carved, painted patterns resting over his shoulder. Steep green forested slopes rise behind him, a pale river valley winds below, and a white stone marker with red and black bands stands at the roadside.2004-06-17A photograph of a man in a saffron-orange turban and orange wrap draped over one shoulder, with a long wooden walking staff in his left hand and his right hand on his hip. He wears a dense rudraksha mala across his chest and has long dark hair. Behind him rise steep green forested Himalayan slopes and a rocky peak under hazy skies. Probable Swamiji: the saffron turban and wrap, rudraksha mala and long hair match the page's Himalayan yatra context, and the photograph is a photo of a physically present man.2004-06-17 +1 copiesJune 17 2004 - Uttarkashi2004-06-17 +1 copiesJune 17 2004 - Uttarkashi2004-06-17Photo from behind of a person walking away on a dusty red-earth path beside a grey concrete block wall and a large rust-brown metal gate. The figure has dark curly shoulder-length hair, bare upper back, and wears an orange-saffron cloth wrapped around the body and drawn over one shoulder. The figure holds a long dark wooden staff with carved grooves in the right hand and wears orange-brown flat sandals. A blue tarpaulin lies on the ground at right. a person: the saffron wrap, long curly hair and walking staff are cues, but the figure is seen only from behind so identity remains uncertain.2006-10-10May 22 20062006-05-22A photograph of a long-haired man in a flowing orange saffron garment, bare-shouldered and bare-backed, walking in profile on a concrete path beside white railings and green shrubbery. He holds a tall brass staff topped with an ornate trident-like finial in his right hand. The saffron cloth wraps the body loosely and the hair falls to the shoulders. Appearance-based probable candidate: a person, shown walking as a sannyasi with a trident staff, with long swept-back hair and saffron clothing as the qualifying cues. Mild grassy steps and a planter with yellow base appear at the edge.2006-05-22July 07 20082008-07-07May 22 20062006-05-22May 28 20222022-05-28 +1 copiesA photograph taken from above of a man climbing a stone step beside a white jeep with a roof rack and a spare tyre.
