A line of men stands at the back wearing white kurtas and white dhotis, many with red-and-saffron shawls draped over their shoulders and lanyards around their necks; some have hands folded in namaskar and others have arms crossed. On the mats in front, two children sit close together, one in a white top and one in white, while a young boy in an orange-and-navy garment sits in the foreground. Clothing includes red and orange dhotis, blue and pale blue kurtas, cream and white kurtas, and bare-chested dancers wearing rudraksha mala necklaces and tilaka. Many dancers have arms raised and smile widely, with onlookers in white dhotis and shawls at the back.2016-10-06A large hall with white ceiling fans and pale walls hosts an energetic group dance. Several young men in saffron and orange dhotis and white kurtas lift and support a red cloth flag that billows above them, while a girl in an orange garment is lifted high on the shoulders of others. Surrounding devotees in white and orange clothing reach up with raised arms, and a few wear tilak marks and beaded necklaces. In the background a decorated altar with garlands and a deity murti is visible, flanked by framed devotional artwork on the walls. Many people fill the room, some seated in red chairs.2016-10-08
