In the centre, a bearded man in a bright orange robe leads, with a bald priest in orange-brown dhoti and shawl beside him. Foreground left, a man in a rust-brown silk dhoti and shawl with gold borders and a long beaded necklace walks with downcast eyes. Behind, devotees in orange carry curved brass horns and a drum, and ornate red-and-gold ceremonial banners rise above the group. Palm trees and greenery frame the scene.2013-11-05A procession of robed men and boys walks along a dirt path between trees and an orange-painted wall. The man in front wears a gold-and-bead garland and a rust-brown dhoti with yellow borders, with gold bangles on his wrists. Beside him a bald man with a white forehead band and a rudraksha mala wears a rust-brown robe, and a young boy behind wears orange robes. Other attendants in orange and maroon robes follow, and a drummer with a large drum appears at the right edge. The setting is a campus with a football goal and green lawns. Two candidates for the front-walking figure are plausible from appearance alone, so identity is uncertain.2013-05-28A procession on a dirt path beneath a large banyan tree. A man in the centre wears a rust-orange dhoti and shawl with gold borders and a long gold-beaded garland, and he walks forward with his head lowered. Behind him, a line of saffron and orange-robed sannyasis and devotees stands along the path, several with shaved heads and rudraksha malas. Women in red-and-gold saris stand with palms pressed together on the left, and two ceremonial standards with embroidered fabric hang from the branches. Green leaves frame the upper edge of the scene.2013-11-05Outdoor photo of a procession walking barefoot along a narrow cream mat laid over reddish earth, through leafy trees with a red-roofed structure behind. A man in front wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with gold borders, a heavy beaded rudraksha-style mala and a large ornate gold pendant necklace, gold bangles, and his hair swept back; he appears to be leading the group. Behind him, several men in deep red-orange dhotis with yellow borders, bare-chested or with beaded malas, follow closely; one man on the left wears white dhoti and a white forehead band. Stepping stones are set in the ground beside the mat. The procession is in motion with several participants raising their arms.2013-07-11May 30 20132013-05-30A photograph of a group of saffron-robed sannyasis walking barefoot along a dirt path lined with trees and a low wall. The central figure wears a rust-red turban, a rust-red robe with a gold-bordered cloth, a long rudraksha mala, and a multicolour flower garland of yellow, white and red blooms. Flanking monks wear rust and gold-bordered robes with rudraksha malas and bare arms, while a man in a white dhoti walks behind and a man in a pink shirt stands at right. Roadside foliage and a gated house frame the procession.2014-06-26Outdoor procession along a pale paved path edged with blue lines, beneath a large spreading banyan tree. Central figures in saffron-orange robes with gold borders walk forward, one wearing a long beaded rudraksha-style necklace and a red-and-orange sash; another in orange with a gold-trimmed wrap follows behind. Devotees line both sides: a man in white dhoti with hands folded, women in white and orange saris with orange shawls, and a woman in an orange sari with hands joined in prayer. A yellow cloth hangs from a pole near the tree. The scene shows a devotional walk with reverent onlookers.2013-02-28July 09 20132013-07-09
