A figure in a rust-orange wrap with a gold ceremonial necklace and layered white, yellow and red garlands stands at right, one hand resting on the head of a seated man in a blue-and-white checked shirt at left, while holding a folded white paper in the other hand. The figure wears gold bangles and has long swept-back dark hair and gold earrings, and gives a blessing. Behind them, a man in white with a red shawl and other devotees stand in a hall with a gold-and-red ornate display at the right edge. The appearance cues are distinctive, so this is a person presenting a blessing, with a devotee receiving it.2013-07-21A photograph of a ceremony in a temple-style hall. A bare-chested man in an orange-saffron shawl and multiple gold necklaces with a gold armlet stands at right, holding a sheet of white paper and placing his right hand on the head of a seated man in a white-and-blue checked shirt at left. Two others stand behind with hands clasped in devotion: a man in a white kurta and a man in a white shirt. A man in orange-saffron robes with an ornate gold necklace, bead garlands and a long swept-back hairstyle, with a white tripundra mark on his forehead, places his right hand on the head of a man in a tan-brown kurta who has his palms pressed together in respect.
