A corrugated metal roof edge with steel trusses runs along the left side, and a palm frond appears at the upper right against a pale sky. A small figure is partly visible near the roofline on the left, but no clear person is identifiable. The scene appears to be an outdoor temple or ashram setting.2013-03-10March 10 20132013-03-10October 07 20102010-10-07December 20 20102010-12-20A tall, segmented copper or bronze pole rises diagonally against a pale blue evening sky, topped with a small wooden platform decorated with green leaves and an orange cloth streamer. Thin ropes run down from the top of the pole. A corrugated metal roof edge fills the left foreground, and a palm frond appears at the right edge. A partially visible figure with a head and shoulder stands at the roof edge near the top left, only faintly visible and not clearly identifiable. The scene appears to be an outdoor ceremonial structure, possibly a flagpole or ritual pole.2013-03-10December 14 20162016-12-14August 20 20142014-08-20Low-angle photo of a tall wooden flagpole, its shaft wrapped in dark bands, rising against a pale cloudy sky. A pink triangular flag with a small emblem is tied near the top, with a finial and a few green leaves above. A long grey rope hangs down beside the pole for hoisting. Foliage edges the bottom of the frame. The flagpole stands at the dvajarohanam ceremony for the festival.2016-12-14Low-angle photograph looking up at a tall copper flagstaff or dhvaja stambha rising against a grey overcast sky. Thick copper bands wrap the pole, and at the top sits an ornate dark-metal finial draped with a red-and-white cloth and a red rope running down the mast. A dark roof edge runs along the left of the frame and a palm frond appears at the right. No people are visible.2010-10-07
