Outdoor photograph of a temple under construction. Bamboo scaffolding wraps a pink-painted gopuram-style tower on the left and rises across the grey roof of a concrete temple structure. Several white and grey sculptures stand on the roof, including a figure carrying a pot and animal forms, while workers on the scaffolding handle the decorative work. A rocky brown hill rises behind, with a palm tree and roadside shops with yellow signboards on the right. Overcast haze fills the sky. A digital date stamp reads 12.04.2008.

Low-angle photograph of a tall, tiered gopuram-style temple tower at dusk, its grey stone surfaces carved with rows of sculpted deity and figure niches and a pinkish-tinted upper section. Thatched palm-and-cloth awnings sit in the foreground at the base, and a tree and overhead wire frame the right and upper left. No people are visible in the scene, and no one is shown in a person's presence.

Outdoor construction site beside a temple-style structure wrapped in a tall bamboo scaffold lashed with rope, with workers climbing and tending it. A stone base or platform sits at its foot, with piles of rubble, red earth and stacked grey concrete blocks around the dirt ground. Coconut palms and tall trees frame the sky. On the right, several people in white and orange clothing stand near rows of small painted deity murti and figures laid out on the ground, and a red-painted pillar with a white cloth-covered vessel stands in the foreground. Small figures are visible but not distinct enough to identify.

Outdoor construction scene at a dusty site beside coconut palms. A tall bamboo scaffold frames a pale pillar-like structure, with a worker standing on the lattice near the top. In the foreground, a person in a saffron-orange robe walks across the sand, while a figure in white clothes kneels or bends at a row of stone and gilded deity statues on a wooden platform. A man in white carries a bundle on his shoulder, and a group of women in green and orange saris and a man in a checked shirt stand at left watching. Several other people in white garments are scattered around the site. Mounds of earth and stone blocks lie behind the platform.

Outdoor construction site at a temple-like complex on bare reddish earth, with a tall bamboo scaffold wrapped around a tower structure on the left, piles of grey stone blocks, and a white hose laid across the ground. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts walk about, one carrying a large sack on his shoulder, while a figure in orange stands near the scaffold. Palm and tall trees, low tiled-roof buildings and an overcast sky frame the scene.

A photograph of the tall white gopuram (temple tower) of the Arunachaleshwara temple in Tiruvannamalai, rising above green trees against a hazy sky and a rocky brown hill. Scaffolding and workers are visible at the top of the tower, with a second smaller white tower at the lower left. No people are clearly visible in the scene.
