Large outdoor procession on a village street in Tamil Nadu, with a dense crowd of devotees filling the road. In the centre a decorated red and gold chariot or palanquin with a red canopy is pulled by white horses, and a figure in orange-saffron clothing stands within the carriage area, but no facial or identity-based identification is made. Many men in white dhotis and shirts walk alongside, some bare-chested, and women wear orange, cream and pink saris, some carrying items. A uniformed police officer in khaki and a dark cap walks near the front. Banana leaves frame the left side, and a temple gopuram with colourful sculptures and orange flags stands in the background, with a small shop sign and a parked white vehicle visible.2008-07-28July 28 20082008-07-28 +1 copiesA large street procession moves along a dirt road lined with trees and small shops, with a temple gopuram visible in the background and saffron flags on poles.
