A crowd of devotees gathers outdoors under umbrellas during a rain-soaked procession, with wet ground and trees behind a chain-link fence. In the foreground, a line of young schoolchildren in white shirts, blue skirts or shorts and red ties stands with palms pressed together in anjali. Adult women in saris, including a blue-and-white sari with a green and pink sari nearby, fold their hands in prayer, while men in white shirts and dhotis and a man in a yellow shirt stand among them. Umbrellas in red, green and black shelter part of the gathering, and a small white building edges the right side. The scene reflects a Kodikkan Ratha Yatra procession of deities in Chennai, Tamil Nadu; no a person is clearly identifiable among the people shown.

In the centre, a man in a white shirt and white dhoti, with a white cloth and a round orange badge on his chest, stands on the path while a man in a white shirt and dark trousers gestures to the right. Beyond them, groups of people in white and red clothing stand near a gate and a parked vehicle, with a concrete wall and trees behind.

Behind them many men and women in white dhotis, kurtas and saris, including a woman in purple and one in pink, walk in procession. Several small flags on poles in green, yellow and blue fly in the background.

Outdoor photograph of a long line of devotees walking along a wide, sandy-brown paved path on a campus, with a tall shade tree, streetlight and several yellow and saffron flags on poles behind them. Many women in colourful saris (orange, lilac, purple, red, pink, pale blue and cream) walk in the front rows, while men in white dhotis and cream or white shirts walk among them. One man in the foreground wears a cream shirt, white dhoti and a beaded necklace. Buildings and trees line the background under a clear sky.

A photograph of a school courtyard path lined with a long row of schoolgirls in pink-and-maroon checked uniforms with navy blue shoulder wraps, many with braided hair and white or orange flowers. Two women in blue and white saris walk along the path between the girls and a low green hedge. Tall trees and a grey wall stand behind, with a faint smoky haze in the air. Outdoor scene on a paved path beside a dry grassy field and a large tree, with apartment buildings in the background. Several women sit on a low concrete edge at left: one in white with a dark bag beside her, one in white with a blue salwar, others in white and pale blue. A woman in white with a white shawl draped over her shoulders stands at centre, and at right a woman in a white sari with an orange border and orange blouse stands near a man in white shirt and white trousers with an ID lanyard, holding a small card. Outdoor photo at dusk of a large group of devotees gathered in a loose circle on bare dirt ground beside a long white-railed fence with red brick base and palm trees behind. Several people stand in the middle, one woman in an orange sari near the front-left, a figure in orange at the centre, and others in white kurtas, pale cream clothes, dark jackets and backpacks. A white van is parked at the right.

A large outdoor gathering of schoolchildren sits cross-legged on bare ground under trees beside a colonnaded building. Many girls in green tunics over white blouses and white skirts sit in front, while boys in white shirts and dark trousers fill the rows behind. Some girls in navy vests and white tops hold pink and red bags. Clustered rows of students extend back toward parked vehicles and a tall concrete wall. No speaker or a person candidate is clearly visible in the frame.

Outdoor group photograph on a dry grassy field under an overcast sky with trees and a red-walled building behind. About thirty young girls and women stand close together, most in saffron-orange saris and dresses, with some in purple, blue, green and pink outfits and bangles, earrings and garlands. A few women in white garments stand at the edges, and a small boy in a white kurta and red trousers stands at the front. Several participants fold their arms or have hands clasped, and the scene suggests a festival gathering such as a Krishna Janmashtami celebration.
