A line of men and boys in plain white dhotis and white shirts walks along a sandy path, several carrying long wooden poles and red cloth bundles on their shoulders. Behind them, a decorated palanquin or deity float with gold-framed canopies, garlands, and colourful pompoms is lit by overhead lights. A small white building and dark trees form the background. A tall, bare-headed man in white stands at the left edge, and a person at the far right holds a palm-leaf fan. No one in the scene is clearly identifiable as a person, so the figures are described by role and clothing only.2006-12-23
