November 23 20142014-11-23November 23 20142014-11-23A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with carved scrollwork, against a black backdrop hung with brass oil lamps. The seated figure wears a maroon turban with a jewelled ornament, a maroon and gold-bordered robe, layered rudraksha malas and a gold chain, and bangles on the arms, and raises one hand in blessing. Hands at the lower edge hold lit oil lamps toward him, and a person in orange and white stands at the bottom centre. Probable Swamiji (probable) seated on the throne, with the turban, rudraksha malas and gold chain as visible cues; the figure appears as a painted or sculpted likeness rather than a live person, so the depiction value is used.2014-11-23November 23 20142014-11-23A seated figure in a red-maroon robe with a gold border sits on an ornate gold throne in a temple shrine, raising one hand in blessing, wearing a red turban with a jewelled ornament, a rudraksha mala, and bangles. Three priests kneel around the throne: one in white ritual dress with white markings on his forehead and arms holds a lit oil lamp, another with a shaved head and orange-brown garment holds a lamp, and a figure in orange sits with fruit offerings before the throne. Brass bells and hanging oil lamps hang on a dark backdrop, and a painted deity figure in green and orange stands at the right edge. The setting suggests a puja with aarti.2014-11-23A seated figure in a rust-orange robe and matching orange turban sits on an ornate gold throne with a tiger-skin cushion, raising one hand in blessing. He wears a rudraksha mala, a long red-and-multicoloured flower garland, and a ceremonial gold pendant. Flanking him are large painted deity figures with multiple arms and gold jewellery. In the foreground, devotees in red and maroon garments offer lit oil lamps and flowers at the base of the throne. Swamiji (probable) appears as the seated central figure, shown in person, with cues including the orange turban, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold pendant. Three to four people are visible, counting the seated figure and the partly visible devotees at the bottom.2013-07-06July 06 20132013-07-06May 12 20172017-05-12January 16 20132013-01-16A seated man in a maroon-red turban with a jewelled ornament and a long gold-bead garland sits on an ornate gilded throne with lion-head armrests and tiger-striped cushions. He wears a maroon-red robe with a gold border and rests his hands on the armrests. In front of him, several devotees in white and red garments sit with hands folded in prayer. Oil lamps and hanging bells hang beside the throne, and painted deity figures with multiple arms frame the scene on both sides.2014-09-07A photograph of a ceremonial stage with deep red draped backdrop and a gold-framed ornate throne at centre. A seated man in orange-red robes, wearing a red turban-style headdress with a gold ornament, gold necklaces and a white-and-red flower garland, sits with eyes closed and feet bare on the throne. A dark-skinned attendant in a red garment stands at left holding a sacred object near brass lamps, while a bare-chested priest in white dhoti sits lower right beside seated men in white. A gold trident stands behind the throne and a golden deity murti in a tall arch appears at the top. Brass oil lamps flank the stage.2017-06-08August 02 20132013-08-02
