A man in a white kurta, with a grey beard, claps his hands while smiling. Beside him a man in saffron robes with a red-and-white rudraksha mala and a gold chain smiles broadly. A man in a white dhoti and shawl wears a large red flower garland over a gold chest ornament, with long dark hair and a tilak on his forehead; he holds his hands together in greeting. Robed sadhus in saffron carry a golden staff and a ceremonial trident-topped staff. A man in white and a drummer's wooden horn-shaped instrument appear at the lower right. Ornate saffron and gold banners with floral patterns flank the crowd, and orange flags wave above.2009-01-01November 10 20112011-11-10November 11 20132013-11-11A festival procession on a dirt road under decorated umbrellas. In the centre, a man in saffron-orange robes and a gold necklace holds a gold trident staff upright. Beside him, a long-haired man in saffron robes wears a purple and white flower garland and folds his hands. Another saffron-robed man with a rudraksha mala stands to the right near a gold staff. Behind them, devotees in white and orange shawls crowd the procession, and in the foreground a man in a pale checked shirt plays a long brass horn. Multicoloured parasols with tassels overhead complete the scene. Appearance cues suggest a person in the central saffron-robed figure holding the trident, with long swept-back hair and a gold chain, but this is an unconfirmed appearance-based label.2008-12-31July 26 20102010-07-26April 28 20152015-04-28A festival procession outdoors on a dirt path under bright sunlight, with multicoloured ceremonial umbrellas topped with gold finials and tasselled fringes overhead. A central figure in an orange saffron robe wears a long purple-and-white flower garland, gold necklaces and a gold pendant, and stands with hands pressed together in a greeting gesture. To his right, a man in orange robes holds a tall golden staff topped with a trident, and another orange-robed man at the far right holds a golden staff with a ceremonial finial. A drummer in a brown shirt with a red sash and a man in white dhoti and shawl stand nearby, and a player at the lower left holds a long brass horn. Crowds of devotees line the background, and palm trees appear beyond the umbrellas.2008-12-31January 08 20102010-01-08September 24 20122012-09-24
