June 18 20102010-06-18Outdoor ashram gathering in a paved courtyard with a raised white platform edged in red and white stripes. A bald man in a saffron-orange robe sits on a black plastic chair at the left of the platform, facing an audience of seated devotees in white shirts and dhotis, several in saffron. Behind them stand white stone statues, a white shrine with a garland, and orange-clad figures seated on the ground; a kalasha-like structure and palm trees are visible. Some attendees sit in rows on mats. The setting suggests a sarva-darshan or satsang session.2010-06-18December 28 20082008-12-28 +1 copiesDecember 28 20082008-12-28A photograph inside a temple hall with orange-painted walls and white stripes. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe, rudraksha mala and bare feet, sits on an ornate golden throne with red cushions, hands folded in his lap. Swamiji (probable): the appearance cues are the long swept-back hair, saffron robe and rudraksha mala, and he is seated on the throne. Before him, several devotees sit on the floor with hands in prayer or eyes closed: a woman in a red sari with hands at her chest, a man in white with palms pressed together, and others in white and yellow. Brass plates with flowers and offerings sit in front of the throne. A carved stone deity murti stands in an alcove behind him, and a board on the wall lists names.2010-08-21October 27 20082008-10-27December 28 20082008-12-28 +1 copiesDecember 28 20082008-12-28A photograph of an outdoor satsang on a raised platform with red-and-white striped edging and a steel-framed orange cushioned chair. A man with long swept-back hair, wearing an orange shawl, orange ceremonial garments and a rudraksha mala with gold necklace, sits on the chair with one hand raised in gesture while smiling and speaking. Several men in white dhotis and white kurtas with orange shawls stand or sit around the platform, and devotees in white with hands folded in namaste face him from the foreground. Banana leaves and a potted plant frame the scene, with a few people standing in the background near a building.2010-07-24July 01 20082008-07-01Outdoor scene at an orange-walled compound. A long-haired figure in orange robes with an orange shawl and a white-and-gold beaded garland sits smiling on an orange armchair, bare feet resting on a small orange footstool strewn with marigold petals. A bald man in white kurta and dhoti stands at left holding a tray with offerings. Behind, a man in white with an orange shawl stands near a cameraman in white shirt filming with a video camera on a tripod-style mount. A red banner reads Guru Purnima with Kannada text, and a second banner shows a portrait of a man in orange turban. Another person in white and a boy in dark shirt stand at right. Probable Swamiji: the seated figure has long swept-back hair, orange robes, orange shawl and ceremonial beaded garland, seated on a throne-like chair.2010-07-24September 03 20102010-09-03
