A photograph of an empty ceremonial stage inside a decorated pavilion with a woven bamboo ceiling. A large ornate red-and-gold throne sits centrally with a red cushioned seat and a small footstool covered in white cloth. Above it hangs a tall, cascading canopy of white and silver beaded or floral strands topped with a red and white flower arrangement. The back wall is draped in gold fabric with diamond-lattice panels and garlanded with red and white roses. Rose petals are scattered on a white runner leading to a red carpet, with purple flowers at the front corners, green matting underfoot and a microphone stand beside the throne. Red and white floral garlands drape the stage edges and the throne's sides, and rose petals lie on the red carpet below. Yellow draped curtains frame the stage, and a microphone stands at the right. A small book rests on the throne's left arm. The figure has long dark hair and wears a rudraksha-style bead necklace; the throne and floral decor suggest a formal stage setting. Whether this is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.2010-02-07A figure seated with palms pressed together in namaste on an ornate golden throne (peetha) on a decorated stage.
