In the left foreground a young boy in an orange cloth and layered rudraksha malas, with white marks on his forehead, places his hands over the eyes of a seated young man wearing a black blindfold. The young man, bare-chested with rudraksha beads and white stripes of ash across his shoulders, presses his palms together. Her wrist is wrapped in rudraksha beads and a gold bangle. He wears a thin white thread necklace, and a tear is visible on his cheek. Another person in white stands at the right edge, and a blurred figure in white is behind. The setting appears to be an indoor ritual, consistent with an initiation or blessing moment. No a person candidate is visible in the frame.2018-03-25A photograph of a blindfold demonstration at a Kumbh Mela camp. A figure in a bright orange turban, orange robe and layered rudraksha malas and gold pendant stands to the right, reaching to touch the forehead of a young woman in a white garment with a black blindfold and a tilak marked on her brow; she wears an orange-beaded mala and a small pendant. At the left, an older bearded man in an orange shirt sits with a pen in his pocket, and a man in an orange robe with a gold-beaded mala holds a microphone at the upper right. Marigold garlands rest in the foreground. The orange figure matches the probable Swamiji cues of orange turban, rudraksha malas and ornate gold, so the candidate is.2015-09-11
