A seated man in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha-style bead necklace and gold bangles places his right hand on the forehead of a devotee at a darshan. The devotee, in a checked button shirt, has his hands folded in anjali and a white cloth wrapped over his head and eyes. Behind them, a standing attendant in white dhoti with gold border and a lit lamp-like object are visible; a gold lion-shaped throne armrest and red cushioned seat frame the scene. Dark draped backdrop with a rope of hanging ornaments.2015-08-31July 27 20142014-07-27A seated man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing an orange-red ochre garment and a long gold bead necklace, extends his right hand to touch the forehead of a kneeling devotee. He has white vertical tilak and a red dot on his forehead. The devotee, with grey hair, wears a white shirt and an orange-red shawl with printed text, and presses his palms together in anjali mudra. Behind them stands a silver staff topped with a finial, a black cobra-shaped rod, and a golden ornamental seat, with red curtains behind. A partially visible peacock-feather fan appears at lower left. The gesture suggests a blessing or initiation. Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure, identified by long swept-back hair, ochre robes, gold beaded necklace and white tilak cues.2014-07-27December 26 20122012-12-26A photograph of a ceremonial blessing inside a red-draped hall. A man in a red-orange cloth and a gold bead necklace with a white and red forehead mark touches the forehead of a young man with curly hair and a blue headband. The young man wears a white sleeveless top and raises both palms, while the blesser extends his right arm and holds a folded white paper in his left hand. A large gold cobra-hooded object and a silver staff entwined with a snake stand beside them, with a peacock-feather fan visible at the left edge and another partially visible person at the right edge. The blesser has a rudraksha bracelet on his wrist. The page names a person as present, but the blesser's appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm his identity, so the role is described as the blesser.2014-07-27September 03 20132013-09-03A seated man in an orange saffron dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead and a long rudraksha mala, reaches out to place his hand on the forehead of a man in a blue checked shirt who kneels with folded hands and a rudraksha mala. Beside them a brass oil lamp burns, and a deity murti with a cobra hood is garlanded with red, yellow and green flower garlands and gold ornaments. A figure in white is visible in the background. A red-cloth seat and a watermarked photo credit appear at the edges. The saffron-clad figure matches the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues of long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a rudraksha mala while giving a blessing, in a shrine setting.2012-04-29A seated figure in a red-brown dhoti and shawl, wearing white-and-orange flower garlands and a white forehead mark, places his right hand on the crown of a kneeling man in a white shirt and red-orange shawl. The seated figure's eyes are closed and he appears to be giving a blessing. Beside him are gold lion-head armrests of a throne, a silver staff with a ornate finial, and a framed painting on a pale wall. A woman in a red top is partly visible at the right edge.2014-05-13August 31 20152015-08-31A seated figure with a swept-back dark hairstyle, bare-chested under a maroon-brown cloth, wears a red and white garland with rudraksha beads and a white tilak on the forehead, placing a hand on the head of a kneeling devotee. The devotee wears a white kurta and an orange shawl and presses palms together. Behind them are red velvet drapes, a floral garland of red and yellow flowers, and a gold kalasha-like vessel. A seated figure with long swept-back hair and rudraksha malas with a crown-like adornment gives blessing, consistent with a padapuja-style darshan. Swamiji (probable) is in the seated figure, who has long swept-back hair, rudraksha malas and a garland, and the devotee is kneeling in front of the throne.2014-09-28July 17 20162016-07-17 +1 copiesDecember 16 20122012-12-16
