A covered open-air kitchen at a relief camp, with a corrugated roof and colourful striped and patterned awnings. Two women in yellow and green saris with green head coverings sit on a metal table preparing vegetables, cutting green beans and drumsticks. Large piles of cabbage, tomatoes and green produce lie on blue and silver tarpaulins, with white sacks stacked at right and cooking vessels in the background. A few other people move about the ground beneath the shelter.2012-01-06A busy kitchen during meal preparation for an annadan kitchen service. In the foreground a woman in an orange-and-yellow patterned sari and white hair net stands at a steel tray heaped with chopped orange carrots. Behind her, a woman in a pink top and white hair net holds a yellow checked cloth beside a wooden glass-fronted cabinet. Shelves hold green leafy vegetables and green mangoes. Other workers in dark maroon and orange clothing move in the background among steel pots and trays.2024-01-25A candid outdoor photo of women and children crowding a dirt village lane in front of a whitewashed house with a tiled roof and a green metal cart or counter in the lower left. Several women in saris, including a woman in a red and orange sari holding a steel bowl and another in a turquoise top, press forward to receive food or supplies, while a woman in a blue patterned sari and an older woman in a pink blouse stand nearby. A young child on a hip wears a purple top, another child in a white top stands at right, and a man in a pink shirt and checked lungi stands at the left edge. Painted Telugu-script lettering is visible on the house wall, and the scene suggests an annadaan food distribution in a village.2012-01-06January 05 20122012-01-05 +1 copiesJanuary 06 20122012-01-06 +1 copiesPhotograph of a bare, whitewashed kitchen with a steel sink and countertop holding steel vessels, a lidded pot and a small orange fruit.
