February 02 20102010-02-02A photograph taken at night under a covered outdoor structure with a concrete floor and overhead lights. Four men stand in conversation. At the right, a smiling man with long dark hair wears a rust-brown silk dhoti and shawl with gold borders and a gold-trimmed garment, appearing to be the central figure of the group. To his left, a man in a saffron-orange robe and shawl stands holding a long wooden staff with a serpent-shaped carved top, with a white beard and head covering, while another bearded man in orange stands behind him. At the far left, a shaved-headed man in an orange-brown dhoti and shawl with gold trim and a rudraksha mala smiles. The right-hand figure's identity cannot be determined from appearance alone; the page notes an event with a person, but the visual cues are not distinctive enough to confirm.2013-11-05Night-time outdoor photo of three people in saffron and maroon-orange robes. In the foreground a figure seen from behind, with long grey hair in a knot and a loose orange wrap, faces a smiling man at centre with short dark hair, a red bindi, a long beaded rudraksha-style mala and gold-bordered maroon drapes. A third man on the right wears orange clothing and a dark beaded mala and holds a bright torch. Dark background with a corrugated roof edge.2013-11-05November 05 20132013-11-05February 02 20102010-02-02Night photograph outdoors near an ornately carved stone temple wall at right. A man in an orange-saffron shawl over a bare upper body, with short dark hair and a gold pendant, laughs broadly while facing a man with long swept-back dark hair, a moustache, a gold bracelet and a white kurta. Behind them, several men in white and one in a grey-brown cap and orange stole stand in a crowd lit by a distant street lamp. a person candidate appearance: orange shawl and gold pendant are distinctive but the face and build are not clearly confirmable as a specific person, so the identity is uncertain.2006-12-22Night photograph of an outdoor gathering. In the foreground a long-haired man in a white kurta stands at left, smiling, with another man in white beside him wearing a red tilak on the forehead. At right, a man with long dark hair and a bare upper body is wrapped in a bright orange silk garment with a maroon border, smiling and facing the group. Behind them, several men in white clothing move about in the dim background, with a drum-like object visible at left. The scene is lit by harsh flash and a single distant light.2006-12-22Outdoor night photo at a red sandstone structure. On the left, a man with long swept-back dark hair wears a rust-brown silk dhoti and shawl with gold border and an orange-gold ceremonial garland. In the centre, a bald man in an orange-brown cloth with a rudraksha mala and a gold-coloured garland holds an orange object. On the right, an elderly bearded man with white beard, red forehead mark and orange robe, with a golden-brown shawl, gestures while speaking. Two figures in the background stand in dim light.2013-11-05November 05 20132013-11-05September 29 20102010-09-29Night photograph under a red-framed tin-roofed open pavilion. A smiling man in a saffron-orange robe and shawl walks forward with his right hand raised in greeting, a wide-stepping motion captured with motion blur. Beside him to the left, a long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala walks toward the camera, and two more saffron-clad men are partly visible at the left edge. Behind them a white-draped table holds a small arrangement, with potted green plants nearby and an oil lamp glowing on the floor. a person probable: the central figure has short hair and an orange robe but no crown, flowing hair or ornate adornment, so identity is uncertain.2009-11-16May 10th 20162016-05-10
