A tall man at left wears a white turban and white dhoti, with a rudraksha mala and gold ceremonial necklace, standing with his hands near his chest. Behind him, several people in white clothes stand and watch; one holds a camera on a tripod. In the centre, a woman in a white sari stands bent forward, pouring water over a black Shiva linga set among red rocks and offerings. Beside it, a deity murti seated under a gilded arch is decorated with yellow and red marigold garlands, a white cloth and a red-and-gold crown, holding a trident-like staff. Pink flowers lie at its base.2005-03-08Outdoor abhishekam at a black stone Dakshinamoorthy-style murti seated on a raised platform beneath a large spreading banyan tree. A man in white dhoti with a yellow shawl pours liquid from a vessel over the murti's head. Around the base, a mound of orange-red flowers is ringed by a band of white and dark flowers. Brass kalashas stand on the ground nearby. Women in white sarees and a woman in green stand in a half circle, and several people in white and orange robes sit in the foreground facing the murti.
