The seated figure, on a red velvet-covered throne with gold trim, wears an orange-red turban, white flower garlands and orange robes, and is shown as a framed portrait on a gilded stand rather than a living person. Brass oil lamps and a row of small lamps on a blue cloth sit in front, with bowls of food offerings on a side table. Red and multicolored tassel hangings and red curtains form the backdrop of an indoor hall, consistent with a puja setting.2022-07-13 +1 copiesA photograph of a ceremonial shrine arrangement with a seated figure in the centre, dressed in a red turban, purple and gold shawl and a heavy gold and beaded necklace, one hand raised in blessing. The figure appears to be a depiction rather than a live person, set on a golden-draped throne with a tall staff behind it. Brass oil lamps flank the throne, and a round maroon-covered table in front holds ornate gold kalasha pots, silver offering plates, small cups, flowers and jewellery. Red velvet curtains with colourful tassels frame the scene, and a standing statue in orange and gold stands above. The arrangement suggests a puja display at a KAILASA centre in Houston, USA.2022-02-07Photo 82892652022-07-13 +1 copiesNovember 17 20132013-11-17November 17 20132013-11-17KAILASA HOUSTON, USA on 7/13/20222022-07-13 +1 copiesNovember 17 20132013-11-17October 07 20132013-10-07A photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold-and-red throne with carved lion armrests, in a decorated hall with painted pillars. He wears a rust-orange turban, an orange-brown robe, a long bright garland of red, white and green flowers, and gold bangles. Beside him a second gold throne holds a deity murti draped in multicoloured flower garlands with an orange cloth below. Plates of food offerings sit on a red carpet in the foreground, and a brass oil lamp stands near the seat. Swamiji (probable): the seated man has a turban, a saffron-brown robe, a long garland and gold ornaments, consistent with his role as the seated teacher receiving honour beside the decorated deity.2013-11-17August 25 20172017-08-25
