The two at left and centre-left strike small metal bowl drums with pink sticks. A man in the centre holds a brass cymbal-like instrument, and the figure at right wears orange robes with long rudraksha malas and a pendant. Behind them stands a large metal drum and a wooden wall. Some wear long hair and necklaces; one has white markings on the forehead and arms. A dark cloth bag lies on the floor.2017-06-01A group of young male musicians sit cross-legged on a striped colourful mat on a white floor, performing a percussion ensemble. They wear orange-saffron cloth wraps and multiple strands of rudraksha beads, with some bare-chested. One boy in front wears glasses and plays a small metal drum, while a young man beside him with a red tilak on his forehead plays a shallow metal drum. Behind them a large drum and a wooden pole stand against a wall with wooden doors. Several onlookers' parts are visible at the bottom edge.2017-07-24August 11 20172017-08-11 +1 copiesSeveral young men in saffron-orange robes sit on pink and purple cloth performing devotional music. In the foreground, a young man with long dark hair, a dark tilak and a rudraksha mala holds a pink stick and plays a small hand drum on the floor. Beside him, a youth with a red tilak and gold-embroidered orange clothing plays a pair of metal cymbals and wears a layered bead and gold necklace. A large drum and another drummer appear behind them, and a person in orange sits at the left edge. Their bare-chested style and ritual musical setting suggest a bhajan or kirtan performance.2016-10-30
