Indoor ceremonial scene in a red-draped hall with gold-carved pillars and a gold chair at left. A seated figure in a red-orange turban, saffron-gold wrap and white floral garland holds fruit in both hands and smiles. Beside them a shaved-headed attendant in saffron robes and rudraksha mala kneels and holds red apples, while a third attendant in saffron stands behind holding a golden staff. On the right an elderly man in white dhoti and orange shawl bows slightly, holding a red apple. Several onlookers in white, sari and shirts stand in the background. Offerings of fruit suggest a darshan or puja setting.2015-10-25October 25 20152015-10-25Devotees gather in a red-draped temple room with golden pillars and brass lamps. In the foreground, a seated figure in a rust-orange wrap, rudraksha mala and gold bangles extends a hand as an elderly man in a white shirt and grey trousers bows low to touch it. Behind them, a bald priest in a saffron-brown dhoti with a white-and-gold beaded necklace stands near a golden staff, while women in cream and green saris and headscarves look on. A pale-yellow sari wearer with a rudraksha mala raises a finger to her lips. Several other people stand in the background. The seated figure's identity is uncertain from appearance alone; the scene is darshan with pada-puja-style respect.2015-10-26October 25 20152015-10-25October 26 20152015-10-26August 22 20152015-08-22A seated figure in a rust-red turban and gold-toned draped garment, with a heavy beaded necklace and gold bangles, sits on a gold-trimmed seat in front of red draped fabric and extends hands to a man. He wears rimless glasses, a white shirt and an orange shawl, and gestures with one hand while bending forward. Behind them a woman in a cream sari with a long rudraksha-style mala stands with hands folded and smiles. Gold ornamental carving and a gold staff are visible at left. The figure in the turban is a person candidate, identified only by the cues of a turban, gold necklaces and ornate clothing, and is seated in the central role of receiving visitors.2015-10-26October 25 20152015-10-25October 25 20152015-10-25A woman in a rust-red garment and a thick yellow marigold garland sits on a gold-ornamented chair, extending her hands to a kneeling man in a striped collared shirt on a blue carpet. Behind her, a seated figure in orange robes with a saffron head covering sits on a gold throne, hands folded, next to a silver staff. A man in white kurta with a rudraksha mala stands at left, and a woman in white with a brown shawl and bead necklace stands at right. Gold lion-head armrests and an event hall setting frame the scene.2014-05-20A photograph of a ceremonial exchange in an ornate red-draped setting with gold-carved shrine elements. A bare-chested man in a rust-red turban and a yellow marigold garland, with rudraksha beads on his chest, extends a small golden object, apparently a figure of a seated animal, toward an older man in white dhoti with an orange-saffron shawl, who bows with hands folded. Behind them a priest in orange and a second man wearing glasses and rudraksha mala stand near, and several people in saris and shirts watch from the back, some in yellow and white. A bright lamp light glows in the background.2015-10-25A photograph of a seated figure on a gilded throne with red cushions, with long dark hair, a rudraksha mala and orange-saffron robe, smiling as he receives an offering from a devotee in an orange kurta bent low before him. The devotee holds a small silver vessel and a brass plate, and wears a gold necklace and a white dhoti with a gold border. Behind them, women in white and red stand near green potted plants beside a red backdrop. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a rudraksha mala. The scene suggests a darshan or padapuja offering.2016-05-06
