Devotees perform a padapuja-style offering at a gilded throne. In the foreground a man in a cream silk kurta bends forward and a woman in a white sari with a green and gold border leans in, both washing or touching the feet of the seated figure over a large silver vessel decorated with red and white flowers and a red-and-gold cloth. Several people in white ritual dress with orange-brown rudraksha malas kneel at his feet, handling small plastic-wrapped packets set on red trays, while a woman in a white sari with a pink border leans in to help. A trident and a silver lamp stand nearby, and a gold-carved backdrop fills the frame. The figure's feet rest in a large orange and gold draped basin of offerings. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has a crown, saffron-red clothing, a rudraksha-style necklace and a gold throne, matching the page's event context.2016-05-24A photograph of a ceremonial padapuja at a festival stage. Two devotees bow at his feet: one in a checked shirt and grey trousers, another in a green sari. A man in white kurta and a sannyasi in orange stand to the left with hands folded, a woman in a red and grey sari with folded hands stands at right, and a gilded lion figure sits beside the throne. Behind is a large banner with a smiling portrait and a painted goddess figure. The appearance-based label is a person, seated in the centre. The scene shows Navaratri-day worship with garlands and devotees bowing.2008-10-03August 08 20092009-08-08July 03 20122012-07-03December 11 20122012-12-11A photograph of a ceremonial padapuja on an ornate gold throne-palanquin decorated with red, orange and white flower garlands. A seated man in saffron-orange robes, with long swept-back hair, a red tilak, a rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklaces, smiles while a bald man in white dhoti with gold border kneels and washes his feet from a brass vessel. Orange-robed attendants stand at the edges and a white canopy with tassels frames the scene. a person appears to be the seated figure in orange with the rudraksha mala and gold necklaces, shown receiving the foot-washing as a guru.2012-07-03A photograph of a seated figure on an ornate gold throne with a red cushioned seat and gold carved armrests, dressed in orange saffron robes with maroon-patterned borders and a long dark hair. Before him a woman in a cream and yellow sari with a dark beaded necklace kneels and holds a silver tray with purple flowers and a small silver plate with fruit, while a man in white kurta with gold necklace and a red tilak stands beside her smiling and extending his hands toward the seated figure. A microphone stand and a projector sit to the right, with a blue curtain behind. An orange-clad person sits cross-legged at the lower left and a silver platter with lamps and red fruit lies in the foreground. The seated figure is an appearance-based a person by his long swept hair, saffron robes and ceremonial gold throne, with the page noting his presence at this event.2011-01-22Photograph of a seated man in saffron-orange robes on an ornate gold throne decorated with white jasmine and red-green floral garlands. He wears a red and white patterned turban, a red tilak on his forehead, a long ceremonial gold necklace with a gold pendant, and holds a small silver trident. He smiles while a man in a cream embroidered sherwani and red patterned turban bends low to touch his feet. A woman in a red bandhani sari kneels beside, and onlookers stand behind, including a man in a white kurta and another in a dark jacket, with a man in orange at left. Orange-garlanded ritual items and a gilded deity shrine are visible in the background. Appearance-based cues of long swept-back hair, saffron robes, rudraksha-style gold necklace and turban on the throne match the page's Swamiji reference, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in a seated role receiving a padapuja-style honour during a ritual at a temple setting.2009-07-09A photograph of a man seated on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head armrests, draped with a tiger-striped cloth, in a temple room with hanging brass bells and oil lamps. He wears a rust-red robe with a gold-bordered hem, a white forehead band, and a long garland of white flowers with red accents, along with rudraksha and beaded necklaces. He sits barefoot with his feet resting on a brass tray of flower petals and lit oil lamps. Two women and a man in white sit on the floor beside the tray, the women wearing white saris with garlands and the man in a white shirt with a mala, all holding small offerings near the padapuja tray. A wall-mounted air conditioner and a dark tiled wall form the background. The figure on the throne matches the page's a person description on appearance cues (long hair, saffron-toned robe, ornate gold and mala adornments), so the identification is probable.2014-06-06
