Hundreds of people wearing white clothes wade and bathe in the water, while others sit on tiered red-and-white steps around the tank. At right, a decorated palanquin with a seated deity murti under floral garlands sits in the water among devotees. Trees and a multi-storey concrete building stand behind the crowd under a pale sky.
