A photograph of a large black stone Shiva lingam set in a water tank, garlanded with marigold and yellow-and-red flower strings around its shaft and base. Water streams from the lingam and its base into the pool. Many people wade and bathe in the water in front of it, some raising their arms. Along the red-tiered steps at left, a crowd stands watching, with men in white dhotis and women in saris, and a few figures in saffron or orange clothing. Trees and a clear sky fill the background.
