HDH Jayanthi 20212021-01-23HDH Jayanthi 20212021-01-23 +2 copiesA photograph of a home shrine set up for an offering, with rows of food arranged on red-draped tables. A large printed portrait of a smiling man in a red turban, red robe and rudraksha garlands, hands raised in blessing, dominates the top centre; the figure is a depiction, not a physical person in the scene. Beside it stand framed images of Shiva with Parvati and Ganesha and a deity with a crown and garland. Yellow bowls and white bowls hold rice dishes, lentils, vegetables, fruit, bananas, coconut and sweets. Flower garlands drape the frames, and brass lamps and small idols sit on the tables. No people are physically present in the frame.2022-10-05 +1 copiesPhotograph of a large food offering laid out on the floor before a seated silver-finished murti of a sage-like deity, dressed in an orange silk cloth, blue and green garments, and garlanded with pink and white flower malas, with a red-saried female figure standing to the left. Trays and rows of small bowls hold rice dishes, curries, vegetables, sweets, fruit, corn cobs, and bread on foil, with bananas, oranges, apples and grapes on a silver tray in front. A brass lamp and small offering vessels sit on the pink mat near the murti. No people are visible, only statues and food, consistent with a festival annadan-style offering display.2021-12-28Mahashivaratri 2021Overhead photo of a ritual food offering (naivedhyam) on a round white metal thali plate ringed with bright orange marigold garlands, set on a low wooden stool. A ripe yellow banana, a red apple, a red rose, and pieces of cut fruit are arranged on the plate. Behind it, a gold-toned tray with pink flower petals and a yellow garland sits on an orange cloth. A blue plastic tub and a patterned rug lie below.
