A man in a saffron/orange robe with a long rudraksha mala and white tilak on his forehead sits on the right, raising a thread or string with one hand while another hand rests open. Beside him a shirtless young man in a white dhoti with white sacred markings on his shoulder is being guided by a shirtless assistant wearing orange cloth and beaded bracelets, who holds his arm. A small paper slip is held near the young man's face. Behind them a red, purple and gold ceremonial umbrella canopy hangs with tassels, and gold ritual vessels are visible in the foreground.2017-12-31 +1 copiesClose photo of a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a gold border and a green-and-red beaded mala around his neck, holding a stack of small yellow-and-gold paper slips in one hand and a single slip in the other. Behind him, blurred people in white and yellow clothing stand near steel trays and a red-covered table. A gold bangle is on his wrist. A man in a plain white dhoti and white upper cloth, with pale ash marks on his arms, hands a folded yellow card or prasad slip to a hand reaching from the left, where a person wears a red-and-dark bead bracelet. Behind them a carved dark wooden or stone panel and a second person in white and gold-bordered cloth are partly visible.
