Ritual scene at a temple with a Shiva lingam and a bull figure (Nandi) adorned with yellow marigold garlands, red roses and white flower garlands, draped in white cloth with a green-and-gold border. A coconut sits atop the lingam, and sugarcane stalks stand beside it. In front, an orange-draped altar holds bananas, coconuts, a brass oil lamp with a lit flame, a small brass shrine piece and red flowers. Yellow and orange flower garlands hang in the background, with pillars and red and orange decorative umbrellas. No people are clearly visible apart from a partially visible figure at the right edge. Two coconuts with pointed tops sit on a white-draped platform on an orange cloth, with additional garlands and a lit oil lamp in a brass plate in the foreground. Banana bunches, a halved coconut, and fruit sit on brass trays, and red and pink flowers scattered around. Colourful painted pillars and hanging umbrellas frame the hall. Behind the offerings, a person in a dark garment is partly visible, and a camera on a tripod is at right. No clear face or identifiable a person figure is visible.2018-04-14April 14 20182018-04-14 +3 copiesTwo coconut-shaped ritual vessels, each with a face-like pair of eye holes, stand side by side on a low brown cloth-draped platform, wrapped in thick garlands of yellow and white marigolds and red roses. A pink-red cloth drapes behind them. Two silver oil lamps flank the pair on the floor, with patterned striped mats and blurred figures in the background, consistent with a ritual homa or puja setting.2015-07-17Two ceremonial kalasha pots topped with coconuts and mango leaves are heavily garlanded with yellow marigolds, red roses and white jasmine, with blue and gold beaded ornaments. They sit on a red cloth in a temple setting, with trays of offerings and flower petals nearby. Behind them, a priest in a green-bordered dhoti and a few other people are partly visible, along with decorated pillars and a camera crew at the edge. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam preparation.2018-04-14July 17 20152015-07-17Photo 11728756 +2 copiesA dense seated crowd of devotees, mostly women in white and cream sari-style clothes with orange or red shawls and vibhuti or kumkum marks on their foreheads, sits in rows in an open hall. In the foreground a large decorated arrangement of marigold garlands in yellow, red and white surrounds a central kalasha, with lotus blossoms on top, a deity murti area, and a pink-and-gold cloth beside it. Two brass oil lamps with lit flames stand on either side, banana bunches, coconuts and fruit are arranged on the floor, and scattered flower petals lie across the ground. A tripod and a cameraman appear at the right edge.2015-08-09December 23 20092009-12-23July 17 20132013-07-17A photograph of a temple puja at a shrine decorated with marigold and yellow flower garlands. In the centre, a deity murti sits on a pink and white cloth-draped seat, its front and sides wrapped in red and white flower garlands. Two silver lamps stand on either side, and brass plates of offerings and fruit rest on wooden steps before it. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a purple-bordered cloth raises a brass plate with his right hand, while another priest on the left holds a lamp near the shrine. Behind them, larger deity figures are framed by colourful garlands under a yellow-green canopy. Only a few partial figures appear at the lower edges.2016-12-07September 24 20172017-09-24 +2 copies
