July 18 20132013-07-18A shirtless priest in white dhoti with gold border and a purple headcloth leans over a ritual altar, pulling a yellow cloth across a yajna area. Marigold and jasmine garlands drape the altar and kalasha pots with coconuts. Behind him a woman in an orange sari stands with hands folded in namaskar, and a few other people are visible at the sides of a pillared hall. The scene appears to be a puja or abhishekam ceremony with a fire and offerings.2018-04-14July 18 20152015-07-18A priest with bare upper body and white dhoti, wearing a purple headband and gold chain, reaches toward a pale yellow cloth draped over a ritual altar. Behind him stands a decorated shrine with garlands of marigold and white flowers, and kalasha pots wrapped in yellow and orange garlands sit before a smoking fire pit with coconuts and offering trays. A seated assistant in a white dhoti and gold necklace watches, while two women in orange and gold saris stand with palms pressed together at right, and smoke rises between the pillars of an open hall. This appears to be a homa or puja ritual with fire offerings.2018-04-14A temple puja scene: a bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a purple-bordered cloth and a sacred thread stands at left holding a silver tray, while a seated attendant at left edge tends an offering. Centre, a deity murti is dressed in red garlands and white flower strands, set on a pink-and-white cloth over a wooden platform. Silver oil lamps flank the shrine, and fruit and flower offerings sit on trays in the foreground. Behind, large floral-garlanded deity figures and a gold curtain frame the sanctum. Two seated devotees appear at the bottom edge.2016-12-07March 02 20182018-03-02July 18 20132013-07-18April 13 20182018-04-13 +1 copiesA photograph of a temple puja at a shrine decorated with marigold and yellow flower garlands. Two silver lamps stand on either side, and brass plates of offerings and fruit rest on wooden steps before it. A bare-chested priest in a white dhoti with a purple-bordered cloth raises a brass plate with his right hand, while another priest on the left holds a lamp near the shrine. Behind them, larger deity figures are framed by colourful garlands under a yellow-green canopy. Only a few partial figures appear at the lower edges.2016-12-07April 14 20182018-04-14Outdoor temple ritual in front of a deity murti draped in marigold and white flower garlands, with gold ornaments and a pearl necklace. Two priests stand at the left: the foremost is bare-chested with a saffron-orange shawl over his shoulder and white dhoti with blue border; a second priest in a white dhoti and white cloth holds a silver tray with a folded white cloth, while a third person in a red-and-gold garment sits in the lower foreground beside a fire pit with flames, smoke and offerings of fruit, coconut and flower garlands. Brass oil lamps stand on both sides under a yellow-orange canopy with gold ornamental discs. No a person candidate is clearly visible.2015-07-18 +1 copiesNight ritual at a temple-style hall with smoke rising from a fire pit at left. A priest in white dhoti with a gold-bordered orange shawl holds a white flag over a decorated pink altar draped with red and white flower garlands, lemons, and green leaves, with a silver oil lamp in front. A bearded attendant in white stands behind it. In the foreground, a long-haired person wearing a maroon headband and pink-and-maroon shawl, seen from behind, faces the altar.
