Outdoor photo of a large black Shiva lingam on a yoni-pitha base, fully garlanded with yellow and orange marigold strings, with water spraying from above onto the stone. In the foreground a flower-decorated float or ratha with yellow and orange marigold garlands stands in shallow water, and a crowd of devotees in white clothes stands waist-deep in the tank wading around it. Some devotees hold hands raised or stretch toward the float. Behind, red-tiered steps hold seated people in white and saffron, and concrete buildings rise against a pale sky. A holy dip in the sacred water of a tank, an abhishekam-style water pouring over the lingam.
