A large dark stone Shivalinga rises from the centre of a wide tank of water at Vaidya Sarovar, with garlands or yellow-orange bands around its base and a small shrine-like decorated structure beside it. Many people stand waist-deep or wade in the water, some in white clothes, while crowds in white garments line the terraced stone steps on both sides under a low sun with a bright glare. A flow of water spouts from the linga's side. Tiered brick steps and a concrete building with antenna-like poles stand in the background.
