Rows of guests sit on white chairs at long green-topped tables, each set with a banana leaf holding bananas, orange sweets and other food, plus white cups. Many seated men wear white dhotis and shirts, and several have garlands of flowers around their necks. Women wear saris in green, orange and maroon. Figures in saffron robes and white attire stand and move along the central aisle, and a figure in white stands near the stage. Colourful hanging tassels and decorated pillars line the tent.2008-12-26December 21 20162016-12-21 +1 copiesRows of green banana leaves are laid out on a glossy white tiled floor for a communal meal, with woven straw mats running between them. Each leaf holds servings of rice, a vegetable curry, a fried vada, banana, papad or flatbread, a small mound of grated coconut and orange chutney, and small cups of sambar or dal. Orange-clad figures in the top left corner and a golden deity murti are partly visible in the background. Some legs in orange robes stand at the top edge of the frame. The scene is a food offering arrangement with no clear seated diners visible.2016-11-11 +1 copiesApril 04 20162016-04-04 +1 copiesDecember 26 20082008-12-26December 21 20162016-12-21 +1 copiesJanuary 31 20152015-01-31A photograph of a large hall where rows of seated devotees sit on mats in front of banana-leaf plates heaped with food, with small cups beside them, many with hands pressed together in prayer. Several men in white dhotis and shawls stand and walk along a central aisle lined with orange cloth mats. Along both sides, banana leaf plates hold small white offerings and clay lamps. Some people in orange robes sit on the left, and a crowd in white clothing sits or stands in the background. Whether any of the standing men is a person cannot be determined from appearance, so no identification is made.2010-09-17A large hall set for a communal meal.
