October 28 20102010-10-28A photograph of a man seated on an ornate gilded throne with lion-carved armrests and a plum velvet cushion, smiling and turned slightly to one side. He wears an orange saffron wrap, a multi-strand rudraksha mala with a gold pendant, bangles on both upper arms, and a red bindi. His long dark hair falls to his shoulders. A lapel microphone is clipped to his collar. A white-handled ceremonial staff rests beside the throne. Gold lion statues flank the seat, and turquoise and yellow panels form the backdrop.
