A photograph of a devotional scene beneath a large banyan tree with aerial roots. On the right, a dark stone Shiva lingam is draped with a white cloth and garlanded with red and yellow flower garlands, set on a stone base inside a silver-framed arched shrine. In front, a woman in an orange saffron sari with gold border bows with hands folded, her head lowered toward the lingam. To the left, three people stand in prayer: a man in white dhoti with a shawl and a man bare-chested with rudraksha beads and a white dhoti with red border, both with hands joined, and a person in full white clothing with head covered. Red stone ground and a rangoli design lie before the shrine.

A photograph of an outdoor ritual beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. In the centre, a man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, bare-chested, stands with palms pressed together and a white and yellow flower garland around his neck. Around him, several men in white dhotis and orange shawls carry offering trays and a white vessel. On the right, a dark stone deity murti with a white cloth draped over it and a yellow and red flower garland stands on a plinth scattered with red petals. A photographer stands near the murti, and a red-earth path runs through the scene.

Outdoor ritual under a large spreading tree at dusk. A figure with long dark swept-back hair, wearing a gold-and-white garment and a beaded necklace, stands at the centre facing a large black deity murti (appears to be a Shiva lingam-style form or seated deity) draped with garlands of yellow and red-and-white flowers on the left, with a red-stone base and a snake-like carved coil. Beside him a man in white robes gestures, and an orange cloth is spread on the sand. Behind them a large crowd of people in white clothes stands with hands folded in prayer; a few wear green or maroon. A small table with a white cloth holds a lamp, and brass pooja vessels and offerings sit on a mat in the lower right, where a young man in white holds a brass vessel. Described as probable Swamiji by his long hair, gold-and-white garment and beaded necklace, shown in person.

Several devotees in white clothing stand and pray: a woman in an orange top and white dhoti with folded hands near the lower left, a man in a white shirt and white dhoti standing with hands folded, and a woman in white with hands joined. Other people in white are visible in the background among the trees. No clear a person candidate is identifiable from appearance.

A photograph of devotees gathered under a large spreading tree at an outdoor shrine. A silver-framed arch wrapped in red, pink, yellow and green flower garlands surrounds a stone deity murti seated on a red-stained pedestal. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at the right, reaching toward the murti as if offering or adjusting something. Devotees in white shirts, white dhotis and a woman in a white sari with an orange-and-blue border stand in a line on the left, facing the shrine, and a man in a brown garment stands in the foreground with his back to the camera. The scene is a deity worship moment at an open-air shrine.
