A seated man in white ceremonial clothing sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushioned back and a small gold canopy above, decorated with multicolored and white garlands. He wears a white garland and a white shawl draped over a cream and gold patterned cloth, and a microphone on a stand stands beside him. Behind the throne hangs a very large printed banner of a smiling man with a red tilak on his forehead and long swept-back hair, flanked by vertical garlands of red, yellow, green and white flowers. Marigold garlands are heaped at the base of the throne on a stage. The printed banner shows a face and hair in the style of a portrait, and its features are not treated as evidence of who is seated. The seated man has long dark hair and wears a white garment, but the image gives no reliable appearance match, so the identity is uncertain.
