Behind him seated devotees in white and pastel clothes sit on the ground, some with red bindis, and a figure in white stands in the background among trees. The scene suggests an evening ritual or satsang gathering.2005-12-19May 18 20192019-05-18August 22 20062006-08-22August 22 20062006-08-22August 22 20062006-08-22November 09 20072007-11-09December 16 20102010-12-16August 22 20062006-08-22A man in a saffron-orange shawl with a red tilak on his forehead holds a brass aarti lamp with a flaming wick in his right hand, while a smaller brass bell is held in his left. Smoke rises above him. He is smiling and looking down at the flame. Behind him hangs an orange-red curtain, and tall brass lamp stands with oil lamps are at the right edge of the frame. The setting suggests a temple ritual, with the man performing an aarti. Swamiji (probable): long, swept-back hair, saffron clothing and a gold neck ornament identify him as a probable candidate, performing the aarti in a temple ritual.2010-01-02 +1 copies
