A photograph of a narrow city street with shuttered shops, signboards, parked motorbikes and pedestrians. Four prominent people walk toward the camera. In the centre, a man with long dark hair wears an orange dhoti, an orange-and-brown leopard-print shawl and a long rudraksha mala, with a tilak on his forehead, and he has an appearance-based cue consistent with the page's a person label, but the cues are insufficient for a confident identification. To his left, a man in white kurta and dhoti with a tilak and an orange-red shawl walks beside him. To the right, a bald man in white with an orange-red shawl and a crossbody strap. Behind them, a woman in white sari with an orange-red shawl and a man in white walk along. A pedestrian on the far left wears a white shirt and dhoti.October 11 20152015-10-11A narrow stone-paved lane in an old Indian town, lined with shuttered buildings, shopfronts and parked motorbikes. Several people walk toward the camera. In the centre, a man in ochre-saffron robes with a long rudraksha mala and a gold pendant walks beside a shaved-headed man in orange-red robes and a bead mala. Behind them, men in white kurtas and a woman in a patterned sari walk along the lane. A man in a beige shirt and checked lungi stands at left near a pillar, and posters are pasted on the walls at right.2015-05-04January 05 20062006-01-05May 19 20142014-05-19A photograph on a riverbank in Varanasi. In the foreground a man in a white long-sleeved shirt and white trousers crouches beside a Sony video camera mounted on a black tripod, smiling toward the lens. He wears a long rudraksha mala around his neck. Behind him people bathe in the river, a red-and-white boat rests on the water, and hazy sky and distant buildings fill the background. No physical figure in the scene matches the a person depiction cues, so the identity is not given.2015-10-11A photograph of a cameraman in a white shirt with a lanyard ID badge, operating a Sony video camera on a tripod at a riverside ghat. Behind him, red and white temple spires, shrines and a multi-storey hotel line the bank under overcast skies. Several people bathe in the brown river water on the right, and a woman in a pink and teal sari sits on the steps. Colourful signboards and a tall floodlight pole appear in the background.2014-07-27A cameraman in a white collared shirt and a lanyard stands on a riverside ghat, operating a black Sony video camera mounted on a tripod. Behind him, people bathe in muddy brown river water on the steps, and a woman in a pink and green sari sits on the stone edge. Behind the ghat are orange and white temple shrines, blue tarpaulin awnings, and multistory buildings with colourful signboards on a wooded hillside under an overcast sky. A tall stone stupa-like shrine stands at right.2014-07-27September 13 20152015-09-13July 27 20142014-07-27A shaved-headed man in white ritual clothing with a red-and-maroon bordered shawl operates a professional video camera on a black tripod, adjusting its controls with his right hand. He wears a rudraksha mala around his neck and white sacred ash with a red kumkum mark on his forehead. Behind him, a metal railing separates the area from seated people in white clothes, and a red wall hangs with a yellow and green patterned cloth. A white tripod and a stainless steel vessel are visible at the right. Other shaved-headed men in white sit in the background.2010-11-02A busy street in a South Indian town with a wide paved road running through the centre. Pedestrians walk across the road, including a man in a white dhoti and a woman in a green sari. Several black motorcycles are parked on the right beside a row of shops, and yellow auto-rickshaws sit on the left. A white minibus stands in the middle distance. Tall trees line the left side, and utility poles with overhead wires run along the road. A large billboard on the right shows portraits of men, though the figures are too small to judge clearly. Power lines and a low hill appear in the distance under an overcast sky.2012-05-09 +1 copies
