January 02 20102010-01-02A photo of a temple ritual beside a golden deity murti seated on a red cloth-draped dais, framed by yellow and purple flower garlands. A man in an orange dhoti with long hair, standing at left, holds a brass plate of offerings up toward the figures. A woman in an orange sari, standing higher on the dais, raises one arm holding a yellow flower or offering. Brass oil lamps stand beside the dais, and a small flower-decorated golden pot sits in front. Two musicians in white are visible at the left edge. The scene resembles padapuja or aarti at a temple, but the flower-decorated murti shows no clear iconography beyond seated golden deities. The man's appearance is compatible with the page's reference to a person, though his face and features are not visible enough to confirm identity.2010-01-02 +1 copiesJanuary 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesDecember 30 20092009-12-30January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesJanuary 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a golden deity murti seated on a red satin-draped pedestal under a gilded arch in an open temple pavilion.
