Men in white dhotis with red-and-gold borders and bare upper bodies sit closest to the camera, one wearing a yellow-and-white shawl, another with a rudraksha mala. Beside them, figures in saffron-orange robes sit with their eyes closed. Brass lamps and metal plates with flowers, fruit and offerings sit on orange cloths along the polished floor, with lit oil lamps and candles. Other attendees in white and orange kneel further back, and a figure in a pink top is at the left edge. No one clearly matches an identifiable ceremonial presentation beyond these ritual cues.2011-08-01October 11 20102010-10-11 +1 copiesA row of men seated on the floor in a temple hall performs a puja with ringing handbells and incense sticks. Behind him, a man in the center holds a lit oil lamp in one hand, and another lamp burns on a brass plate. A brass plate in front holds fruit, flowers and a small bowl of offerings on a red cloth mat over a woven mat floor. Lit oil lamps are visible in the background along with seated devotees in white shirts. The scene reads as a pada puja gathering.2010-09-20December 30 20112011-12-30August 17 20112011-08-17Photo of a row of people seated on the floor in prayer, hands pressed together in anjali.
