Night photograph of a large black Shiva lingam standing on a square red-and-white base in the middle of a water tank, with a water jet rising behind it. Rows of oil lamps line the stepped stone terraces on both sides of the tank, and their light reflects on the dark water. On the left, a crowd of people in white clothes sits along the steps, some near a small red boat. Several lit buildings appear in the background.
